Designing a Blockchain Ecosystem for Web2 Games

Observing the recent success stories of play-to-earn (P2E) games like Axie Infinity or Mir4, traditional web2 game companies started investigating blockchains and web3 architectures. However, since their games are built on DB-based architectures and operated by centralized entities, it is not trivial to transform the legacy web2 games to web3 ones. In this talk, I will share web2 games’ requirements when adopting blockchains and present our design of a blockchain ecosystem for web2 games. Lastly, I will also show some examples of web2 IP-based P2E games operating on the Klaytn network.
