Blockchain tech and tech law
More and more powerful tech is produced and distributed across the world to impact everyone. Tech is used in conflict and it sets the stage for conflicts. Therefore the details of its design, production, development, maintenance and use pose global legal challenges. In the web, the law leverages the positions of corporations who own or operate the web servers that play host to cyberspace. Blockchain and cryptocurrency, on the other hand, is designed to be resistant to control by people who own or operate crypto nodes. It is also often misrepresented as immutable, alegal, or impossible to regulate. This talk will focus on the technical details of blockchain and cryptocurrencies and how these realities might shape the development of tech law
