AltLayer: Elastic and Versatile Scaling for Web3
AltLayer Network is an elastic and versatile scaling Layer2 protocol for Web3. (1) Elastic Scalability: To handle surge requests on L1s, AltLayer enables dApps to quickly spin off custom layer2 instances (flash layers) to serve users, with near-instant finality (less than 2s), low gas fees (less than 0.01USD) and high throughput(~2,000 tps). (2) Multi-VM Support: AltLayer provides native EVM/WASM support for all dApps on non-EVM compitable chains. (3) Ubiquitous Verification: To embrace decentralization, AltLayer runs multiple block producers and verifiers including commodity machines, browsers for users, hardware and dApp backends to enforce verification ubiquitously. To ensure the same level of L1’s security, AltLayer further rolls up the states to different L1s, e.g., Ethereum.
