Attestations as Web3 Cookies: Leverage your on-chain Data

Single Sign Ons (Google connect, facebook connect) are currently leading the login market. They create single source of failure, huge censorship power from centralized entities. Instead of email/password in facebook login, we can use DID/ethereum accounts/ web3 accounts so that the user is in control of their account. This is Sign In With Ethereum. However, you might not want to share the same data when connecting to different apps. Ideally you would only share what is needed for the app, e.g you do not want to share your bank account when interracting in a social app. This is where attestations come, especially ZK Attestations which do not reveal how they were created: they are proof of facts (e.g I have a BAYC NFT) which do not reveal the source of fact (It does not reveal the address on which the NFT is held, and so does not reveal my whole history, my net worth etc..). Sign In With Ethereum + ZK Attestations = Better SSO.
