Mica regulation : The Empire strikes back !

"In recent years, a regulatory framework has emerged to regulate virtual assets service providers (VASP), mainly in the name of the fight against money laundering. However, a regulatory big bang is expected next year: the European MiCA regulation. Behind these four letters lies an alignment of the regulatory requirements between VASPs, including stablecoin issuers, and the TradFi industry. This regulation raises important questions for the crypto industry: how to comply with MiCA? What is the benefit of doing so? How will MiCA shape the industry in the coming years? What does it mean for still unregulated projects (DeFi, token issuer, etc.)? This presentation (modestly) answers these questions, gives some tips to anticipate MiCA and avoid the “regulatory cliff”."
