Can mods do something? Decentralized content moderation for Web 3

Are marketplaces for user generated content, such as NFTs and social media, responsible for protecting freedom of expression? If marketplaces are permissionless and decentralized, how can illegal content be avoided while respecting free speech and preventing draconian censorship? Can we build a curation standard with Kleros, a decentralized justice protocol, as an alternative to centralized curation? Much like web 2 social media companies can ban and censor users, centralized NFT platforms can ban NFT listings. Decentralized justice protocols like Kleros offer alternative mechanisms to opaque centralized content curation. This talk will address how crowd-sourced community-gathered decision making can decentralize content verification and curation using Kleros, a credibly neutral blockchain native justice system.
